The Adolescent Family Life Program
Sutter Women's Services
At Sutter, we believe strongly that taking care of the children of our community is vital to its health and well-being. When those children find themselves soon to be parents, we are there to help them and their babies get off to a good start and stay on the path to a bright future. Our Women's Services Program at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento reaches out to Sacramento County teens that are pregnant or parenting through The Adolescent Family Life Program. Teens work with a Case Manager who provides guidance and resources when they are pregnant or parenting. Goals of the program are to help the teen give birth to a healthy baby; complete their education; avoid an unplanned pregnancy and get some good parenting skills.
It is our vision that these teens will form healthy relationships, and achieve for themselves and their children safe and secure futures.
If you would like to refer teens to the program or have questions, please contact the Program Manager, Elaine Ellers, at (916) 262-9141.
