Sutter Weight Management Institute
At Sutter Weight Management Institute (SWMI), we know that becoming fit and slim is a very personal journey. That's why we offer several medically supervised programs that provide different paths to the same goal – a trimmer, healthier and more energetic you. Each of our programs emphasizes education and focuses on long-term lifestyle changes that foster success. While all our programs offer proven success, only you can decide which one best matches your weight-loss goal, lifestyle, schedule, finances and personal preferences.
To help you explore the available options, we’ve separated our programs into three categories:
- Individual Programs
- Group Programs
- Comprehensive Bariatric Surgery
Our individual programs allow you to meet with a doctor or trained weight-loss expert and follow a personalized plan to achieve your goal. Individual programs are ideal for those who prefer privacy and one-on-one support.
- Cornerstone Wellness at Yuba City
- Lean for Life® Program
- The Hernried Center Quick 20
- The Practice of Thomas W. Hopkins, M.D.
Many people enjoy the encouraging support that comes about when they can meet with a doctor and a group of others who are also striving to lose weight. While most individual programs listed above include a support-group component, the programs below center around the group setting.
Weight Loss Surgery (Bariatric Surgery)
If after trying an individualized or group program, you and your doctor feel surgery is the best option for you, we offer adjustable gastric band, gastric bypass (Roux En Y), and sleeve gastrectomy surgeries. These procedures are most often considered for people who are significantly overweight and have serious health-related issues.
Weight loss surgery is a life changing decision. We want to help you understand your choices so when you meet with your doctor you can make an informed decision that’s right for you. Our goal is to do everything we can to help you be successful.
