Facilitating Your Referral
To expedite the referral process, please complete the Referral Form online at checksutterfirst.org/SSN or complete, print, and fax form to (916) 503-7632
Please include a copy of the primary insurance card with the referral
Sutter Specialty Network will provide assistance with the following:
- Identification of the appropriate Sutter Health specialty service and Sutter Specialty Service Network physician(s) for your patient
- Assistance in appointment scheduling for the patient, providing maps or directions for the patient as needed
- Facilitate follow-up information regarding the patient
- Provide lodging information for family members from outlying areas
- Coordinate physician-to-physician calls
- Provide referral status reporting as requested
Business Development Specialists
Sutter Specialty Network includes your Business Development Specialist, each serving specific counties outside of our local community (excluding Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties). Your Business Development Specialist can provide you with many outreach needs such as:
- Arranging with Sutter Specialty Network physicians to present their area of expertise to you and your colleagues
- Working with your office staff on how to refer a patient
- Providing status reports of your referred patients
