How Do I Choose Sutter?

Take the first step to making Sutter your health care provider.

1. Choose a health plan that gives you access to the Sutter Health provider network. While most health plans provide access to Sutter, please check the list provided in our Health Plans Search.
   
   
2. Select a doctor as your primary care physician. Find out more about our physician family by visiting our physician locator, a searchable database that allows you to review detailed physician profiles. If possible, schedule a get-acquainted appointment with the physician you choose.
   
   
3. Notify your employer or HMO of your choice of medical groups and your primary care physician.
