Sutter Neuroscience Institute offers exceptional neurosurgical care to patients ranging in age from infants to the elderly. Adult Neurosurgery
Board-certified neurosurgeons provide surgical treatment to adults with benign and malignant brain tumors, epilepsy, trauma-induced conditions, cysts and spinal anomalies. The experienced team includes highly trained and committed physicians, nurses, technicians, and support personnel who ensure patients and families receive excellent care, as well as comfort and support. In addition to traditional surgical techniques, Sutter offers endovascular surgical neuroradiology for stroke, aneurysms, and other blood-vessel related conditions. Non-surgical treatment is also available through the Sutter Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center.

Pediatric Neurosurgery
Sutter Children's Services and the SNI combine resources to provide infants and children with exceptional surgical treatment of tumors, epilepsy, hydrocephalus, vascular malformations, craniofacial disorders, spina bifida, cysts and spinal anomalies. Board-certified pediatric neurosurgery subspecialists are supported by a team of specially trained nurses and technicians, social workers, Child Life specialists and others who provide complete care for the child and support for the family. The department is affiliated with the Shriner’s Hospital of Northern California and regularly receives referrals from the National Brain Tumor Foundation and Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation, the Hydrocephalus Association, the National Neurofibromatosis Foundation, the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association and the National Tuberous Sclerosis Association. Sutter pediatric neurosurgeons serve more than 500 patients annually, including children from throughout the United States and from South America, the Middle East, Australia and Asia.
