Sutter Neuroscience Institute
Under the directorship of William Au, M.D., neurologist, and Shawn Kile, M.D., cognitive neurologist, the Sutter Neuroscience Institute Memory Clinic is dedicated to the diagnosis and management of memory loss and to enhance the quality of life of those who are affected by memory disorders. Our multidisciplinary team works together to provide a coordinated approach to the evaluation and treatment of memory loss.
Areas of focus include:
- psychometric testing
- preserving memory function
- research in the field of memory and cognition
- healthy aging education
- individualized care plans
- referrals as needed, including neuro-psychology
The Memory Clinic at Sutter Neuroscience Institute gives patients and their families an opportunity to meet with our neurologists, neurology nurses, social workers and a neuro-cognitive specialist within one appointment. With this coordinated approach patients receive an in-depth evaluation, get all their questions answered and receive a comprehensive care plan that is tailor made.
Our team also collaborates with community services including Alzheimer’s organizations, support groups, and a number of adult care facilities, including Sutter SeniorCare.
The Memory Clinic is held weekly in Sacramento, and is currently accepting referrals. For upcoming Memory Clinic dates or to learn more about the Memory Clinic, please call (916) 454-6850.
