Nicole Malignaggi is a Registered Nurse and Yoga Teacher with advanced training in Yoga designed for chronic and life threatening illness. She offers individual therapeutic yoga sessions and group classes for people from all backgrounds, cultures and physical capacities.
Nicole believes in the body's innate wisdom and natural ability to heal itself. She combines the teachings of yoga, including postures, breathing, deep relaxation, guided imagery, affirmations and meditation, with the knowledge of Western medical and psychological systems.
As a Yoga Therapist, Nicole partners with her clients as they develop a personalized and evolving practice. This practice can reduce stress, restore balance, establish mind-body awareness and ultimately lead us to a place of deep peace where true healing can occur. The practice can be preventive, restorative, or palliative and is an excellent adjunct to Medical treatment. Nicole's practice is open to children as well as adults and is appropriate for persons in good health, or with various conditions including heart disease, cancer, arthritis, chronic pain, surgery/trauma recovery, emphysema/bronchits, asthma, depression, anxiety, autism, Aspergers or attention deficit disorder.
Nicole received her B.S. in Nursing from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has been practicing yoga since 1998 and teaching since 2005. She has studied with Nischala Joy Devi, former Director of Stress Management for Dr. Dean Ornish's Landmark Heart Disease Reversal Program. She is a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Yoga Alliance. Nicole is also a student of Medicinal Herbology, Holistic Nutrition and Ayurveda.
