Holistic Health Evaluations
The Holistic Health Evaluation is a way for us to get to know you as a person. We hope to use it to help guide you on your journey to optimal health and wellness. Dr. Cotterel will ask questions not only about your medical history and concerns, but also about your lifestyle, family and social support, emotional well being, and your spiritual beliefs. Plan on spending 1 1/2 to 2 hours at the Center. This time will proceed at a pace that is comfortable to you, so the amount that is covered will vary, and, if necessary, the Evaluation may take a second visit to complete. The entire Evaluation will include both an interview and physical examination.

Following the completion of your holistic health evaluation, Dr. Cotterel will present his findings to the consortium of complementary practitioners. All disclosure is in a sensitive, respectful, and confidential manner. The healers of the consortium will then confer and make their treatment recommendations. Then, on your first follow-up visit, Dr. Cotterel will present to you the recommendations of the consortium, and work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan for optimal health.

Herbal Therapy/Nutrition Consultations
Whether you have a specific health problem, or you are in good health seeking a higher level of wellness, the use of herbs and/or nutrition offers a rich bounty of potential. If you are interested in this approach, Dr. Cotterel is available to suggest options in whole food choices, nutritional supplements, or herbal formulations. Initial consultations are scheduled for 60 minutes, or for those who have had holistic health evaluations, 30 minutes.

Lifestyle Consultations
The choices in lifestyle that you make on a day-to-day basis affect your health on many levels. If you are interested in professional help with exercise, stress management, sleep patterns, spiritual practice, weight management or chemical dependency issues including tobacco or alcohol, you might consider a lifestyle consultation. Initial consultations are scheduled for 60 minutes, or for those who have had holistic health evaluations, 30 minutes.

Follow Up Visits
These may be scheduled following a holistic health evaluation, or following a consultation, and allow for time to develop a personalized plan for optimal health, or to assess progress along your healing path. These are generally 30 to 60 minutes, depending upon your needs.
