Neurological Surgeons
Cully A. Cobb, M.D., F.A.C.S.Medical Director, Gamma Knife Radiosurgery Center
Dr. Cobb came to Sacramento in 1975 to join the faculty at University of California, Davis. He left academic medicine in 1981 practicing primarily at Sutter General Hospital since that time. His practice focuses on adult neurosurgery with special interest in tumors, trigeminal neuralgia and the surgical treatment of seizures. He received his medical training at Vanderbilt University, his internship and a year of General Surgery at UCLA and his neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine. He studied neurology at Queens Square in London and microneurosurgery in Zurich. He received a Borden Scholarship for research and has served as chairman of the Advisory Panel to Respiratory and Central Nervous System Devices section of the FDA in Washington. Dr. Ciricillo received his training in neurological surgery and Gamma Knife radiosurgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He directs the pediatric neurosurgery program at Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento. Dr. Ciricillo received his medical training from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed his internship and residency training at UCSF. Dr. Zusman began her medical school training at the age of 19 in the Northwestern University Honors Medical Program. She completed her general surgery internship and neurological surgery residency with distinction at the University of California, Davis as Chairperson of the Resident Medical Staff and Resident of the Year. She completed her residency a year early and began her fellowship training in Brain Tumors and Epilepsy at the University of California, San Francisco. She participated in a Molecular Medicine Research Fellowship and became Junior Faculty at UCSF. Dr. Zusman has performed over 850 brain surgeries, holds the patent for a new cellular labeling technique, has authored several publications, and has been an invited national lecturer on brain mapping, computer neuronavigation, and tissue banking. She is a Board Certified, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and Liaison to the Board of Directors of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. Harvey B. Wolkov, M.D., F.A.C.R., F.A.S.T.R.O.Medical Director, Radiation Oncology Center
Co-Medical Director, Gamma Knife

Dr. Wolkov has served as the medical director of the Sutter Radiation Oncology Center since 1990. He has served as co-medical director of the Sutter Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery Center since its inception in 1997. He is formerly an associate clinical professor of radiation oncology, surgery and radiology at the University of California, Davis, School of Medicine. Dr. Wolkov has served as President of the Northern California Radiation Oncology Society, California Radiation Oncology Society and The National Council of Regional Radiation Oncology Societies. He has also served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. He served as co-PI ( princ. investigator) of the Pediatric Oncology Group and serves as a co-PI of the Childrens Oncology Group. Dr. Wolkov received a graduate degree in Physics from Purdue University before attending Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. He interned in Radiation Oncology at University of California, San Francisco, and then completed his residency in Radiation Therapy at Stanford University Hospital. Dr. Wolkov has received multiples awards, fellowships and honors which include an American Cancer Society Clinical Fellowship, an American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology Travel Award and conferred Fellowship in the American College of Radiology and the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. A published author, Dr. Wolkov has been cited in Best Physicians in America, Guide to Top Doctors, Guide to America's Top Physicians, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, Who's Who in Healthcare, Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in the World. Jeffrey Suplica, M.D.
Dr. Suplica received his medical and residency training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. He then completed fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco, specializing in Neuro-Oncology and Gamma Knife Radiosurgery. He joined the medical staff at the Sutter Cancer Center in 2000. He has lectured on Radiosurgery to professional and patient organizations and is involved in numerous professional societies. In addition to Radiosurgery and advanced radiotherapy delivery techniques, Dr. Suplica maintains a professional connection to his Mechanical Engineering and industry experience.
