Alan Young Lim, MD, FACS, is an accomplished plastic surgeon who provides reconstructive and cosmetic surgery. Dr. Lim has extensive experience in breast augmentation, reduction and reconstruction surgery. In addition, Dr. Lim provides cosmetic surgery of the head, neck, torso (breast lifts, augmentation, reduction; tummy tucks, body contouring) and face (nose, forehead, eyelid). Since 1989, Dr. Lim has served on the Sutter Cleft Lip and Palate Panel; helping children born with facial deformities get the best care.

After serving as chief of plastic surgery for Kaiser's Permanente Medical Group in Sacramento from 1986 until 1998, Dr. Lim elected to open a new plastic surgery division in 2001 to serve Kaiser's smaller medical centers in South Sacramento, Stockton and Modesto. Patient satisfaction led to the practice being rated the "Top Dog" among Kaiser's Northern California plastic surgery departments.

Dr. Lim has also served as president of the Sacramento Society of Plastic Surgeons (SSPS), is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is an associate professor of clinical surgery at the University of California at Davis School of Medicine. He is also member of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Sacramento-Sierra Medical Society and California Medical Association.
