Pediatric Heart Program
First in the hearts of children

Our Pediatric and Adult Congenital Surgery Program participates in the Society of Thoracic Surgeons National Database, an initiative for quality improvement and patient safety within the field of cardiothoracic surgery. In addition to having a low mortality rate, we are pleased to report that our cardiopulmonary bypass times, length of stay and post-operative complications are equal to or better than national standards.
Roxana and Brian were devastated to learn that their daughter, Alexandra, has a congenital heart defect. "We found out right after she was born. She was diagnosed with Ebstein's anomaly – an extremely rare heart condition," says Roxana. "The good news is that it is manageable. The bad news is that Alex may need heart surgery every several years in order to lead a normal life."
