The more than 8,000 babies born each year at Sutter Memorial Hospital, Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital, Sutter Davis Hospital, and Sutter Roseville Medical Center are testament to the importance Sutter places on protecting the lives of children and their mothers.

At Sutter Memorial Hospital, mothers, babies and children receive high-risk obstetrical and critical care through dedicated perinatal, neonatal and pediatric staff. Surrounding regional hospitals also provide acute care to women and children, and Sutter Center for Psychiatry provides inpatient and outpatient programs designed specifically for children and adolescents. Sutter Health is committed to delivering specialty care to women and children. This year marks the beginning of design for a new 156-bed women's and children's center to be constructed at the intersection of 29th and L streets in midtown Sacramento. The seven-story women's and children's center, to be completed by 2006, will enable Sutter Health to expand current programs while continuing to provide mothers and children access to the highest level of care available in Northern California.
