How do I apply for a Sutter Health Sacramento Sierra Region position? | back to top
Your application begins when you create a profile for yourself--similar to a resume--that contains your relevant personal, work and education information, what you are looking for in a position, and general questions we ask all applicants. To create a profile, click the Access my profile link in the right margin of the job search page.

After your profile has been created, you can link it to any open position by clicking the Apply link that appears below the job listing. You will be asked a series of pre-screening questions and be led through your profile (education, work experience, interests, etc.) giving you the opportunity to make any final corrections. At the end of the online application process, a summary page will open at which point you will need to click the Submit button to forward your application to the appropriate affiliate Human Resources office. It generally takes 10 to 20 minutes to create a profile and apply for a position using the online application process.

After clicking the submit button, you will receive acknowledgement that your application process has been completed. The job you have applied for will appear under the "My Submissions" on My Job Page when you are logged into your account. If a hiring manager determines your skills match the needs of the position, you will be contacted for further screening and consideration.

Why does Sutter Health use an online application? | back to top
As a service to our communities, it is important to make our open positions available to anyone who is seeking employment. We value customer service, speed in processing the application, and selection of the most qualified candidate. Online technology enables Sutter Health to notify managers of applicants much quicker than with a non-electronic process.

What happens to my application once a position I've applied for is filled? | back to top
Candidate information is stored in our employment database so we can meet future employment needs across our network of healthcare organizations. When a position is filled, the applications of candidates who were not selected for the position are stored in our database. A Sutter Health recruiter can search for candidates with specific skill sets. If your skills match those for which the Sutter Health recruiter is searching, the recruiter will have the opportunity to view your application.
