Prostate Cancer
Sutter Cancer Centers
With the exception of skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in American men. In 2005, more than 230,000 men will receive a prostate cancer diagnosis, with the vast majority expected to be treated and cured. Treatment success is largely due to increasing awareness and excellent screening methods that detect prostate cancer at its earlier and most curable stages.
Sutter's network of primary and specialty care physicians provides the full range of screening tests. When prostate cancer is suspected or confirmed, Sutter Cancer Centers offer extensive diagnosis and advanced treatment options. Our cancer centers also offer Consultative Tumor Conferences made up of doctors representing multiple specialties who combine their expertise to create a personalized treatment plan for each patient.
