Post Blood or Marrow Transplant Care
    Blood & Marrow Transplant

The Blood and Marrow Transplant Unit nurses will be doing transplant and discharge teaching during the patient’s entire stay. The hospital discharge coordinators will see the patient two to three days before discharge to discuss and arrange home health care or care at the program’s infusion center.

Patients visit the transplant physician approximately two to three times each week for a few weeks (autologous) to several months (allogeneic), depending on the type of transplant and progress.
