Blood-Related Cancers
Information by Cancer Type
Cancers that originate from cell changes in the blood-forming or lymphatic systems are considered fluid cancers (as opposed to solid-tumor cancers). While they make up a relatively small percentage of cancers diagnoses, leukemia is the most common cancer in children. Sutter Cancer Centers offer comprehensive treatment for adults and children, including a dedicated pediatric cancer program and a well-established Blood and Marrow Transplant Department.
In addition to standard medical care, Sutter Cancer Centers actively participate in clinical trials, offering patients access to the most promising developments in diagnosis and treatments. To find out more, visit our Clinical Trials section of this Web site.
