Sutter Cancer Centers

Since 1983, Sutter Cancer Center, Sacramento has provided dedicated cancer services at the highest standards of care. Since that time, Sutter's regional cancer program has expanded significantly, extending its geographical reach to Auburn, Davis, Roseville and Vallejo.

From the beginning, Sutter Cancer Centers have incorporated clinical trials into medical practice to allow patients access to the latest advances in cancer diagnosis and treatment. Over two thousand Sutter patients have volunteered as research participants, taking advantage of leading-edge treatments and furthering medical knowledge for patients everywhere. Included in those numbers are more than 200 children who have participated through the pediatric oncology research program that began in 1994.

Sutter's commitment to excellence continues to expand the breadth and depth of services offered. Throughout the region, patients now have access to advanced technologies and treatments, including Gamma Knife® Radiosurgery for treating brain tumors without surgery, the da Vinci® system for robot-assisted prostate surgery, thermal ablation for nonsurgical tumor treatment, blood stem cell transplants, nuclear medicine for bone pain control and many others.

As a program committed to caring for people, Sutter Cancer Centers also offer extensive services that address the nutritional, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of healing.
